From delays in service delivery to outdated processes and siloed decision-making, public institutions often struggle to meet the needs of the people they serve. But is the system broken - or just in need of bold redesign?

This Politics Aside, Policy Forward workshop invites early-career professionals, policy thinkers, and public innovators to roll up their sleeves and rethink how government can work better, faster, and more equitably. Through interactive activities and real-world case examples, participants will identify key bottlenecks, explore creative interventions, and co-design practical solutions that move beyond red tape to rebuild trust and deliver results. Hosted by NSPN & the Federation of American Scientists (FAS).
