Kickstart your Science Policy Career with Expanded Skills and Experiential Learning
The SciPol Scholars-in-Residence Program (SPSR) is designed to provide a combination of hands-on training and experiential learning for NSPN members in the world of science policy-- from academia, to nonprofits, to publishing, to government.
There are three stages of the SPSR Program:
Share about your science policy and advocacy experience and needs.
Build and sharpen your science policy toolkit.
Work with one of our partner organizations on a tangible project and product.
Further develop science policy skills in Early Career Researchers who already have some base knowledge and background in science policy.
Prepare Early Career Researchers for a hands-on residency/internship in science policy.
Provide networking opportunities for Early Career Researchers with professionals in their field.
Prepare a piece of science policy writing that can be published or used to take action on a variety of policy ideas.
