Beyond the Bench: Building Real-World Science Policy Skills

This training equips participants with practical tools to craft clear policy positions, map stakeholders, build partnerships, and form effective coalitions. Participants will also learn to understand and leverage political, social, and institutional power to advance evidence-informed policies. By the end, they’ll be prepared to navigate state and local policy landscapes and contribute meaningfully to advocacy efforts.

Science Policy Writing Skills
February 18 and 19

This training equips STEM students and professionals with the essential skills to write clearly and persuasively for public audiences. The course focuses on crafting impactful, non-academic writing for policy engagement, including policy briefs, position papers, and op-eds. Participants will strengthen their writing skills and learn to create work that effectively connects with broader audiences.

Introduction to Diplomacy
