A Science Funding Engagement Campaign:
Get Training on the Federal Budget and How You Can Influence Policy by Sending an Email
As threats to science funding grow, the voices of STEM researchers have never been more critical.
Join us for a FREE two‑day virtual training designed for federally funded researchers ready to speak up, share why your work matters, and influence federal budget decisions.
Day 1 offers an overview on science funding and the federal budget process. You’ll learn about strategic times to engage with lawmakers and how you can write effectively to your decision-makers to make a real difference. (Learn)
Day 2 turns knowledge into action. Use the template and tips from Day 1 to draft your letter. You'll workshop your message, get live feedback from federal agency representatives and peers, and leave empowered to hit “send” on letters that could impact science funding. (Act)
Who should attend? This event is open to all scientists. If you’ve been affected by federal budget cuts and believe in the value of STEM, join us and add your voice to this important campaign. Together, we are powerful. Let’s make our voices heard!
